Sub-style of Modern American Sogo Budo™

Modern American SogoBudo Weaponry is a Sub-style of Modern American Sogo Budo (note: SogoBudo is Japanese for eclectic or combined martial art). So, M. A. Weaponry specializes in teaching the weapons aspect of M.A. SogoBudo. Modern American SogoBudo Weaponry as well as Modern American SogoBudo have been recognized as new martial art systems with Master Hendrix as the founder and the names are copyrighted and trademarked.

Modern American SogoBudo Weaponry is excellent for students who only want to learn the weapons aspect of M.A. Sogo Budo or who simply want additional and focused training in Weaponry. Master Hendrix developed this program as an avenue to introduce simple and focused working knowledge of traditional and non-traditional weapons into the school for both Self-defense and art. The program is designed to be simple yet informative.

Students will learn a vast array of simple techniques that are an extension of their basic empty hand techniques. They will also learn many specialized M.A. SogoBudo weapons: techniques, applications and theories that are traditional based as well as progressive and non-conventional based. Modern American SogoBudo Weaponry is very eclectic but is not geared toward being overly complicated. Creativity on the part of the student is a large part of the training for advanced practitioners.

Basic Weapons currently include (although more weapons are being added): Kubotan, Palm Stick, Bo/Staff, Jo/Staff, Tonfa, Kama, Nunchukua, Double Nunchukua, Single Stick/Baton, Double Stick/Baton and Sai. Advanced Students will learn the Cane. Advanced Adults can also learn the knife, double knife, the single and double machetes as well as basic sword techniques. Non-traditional weapons include any object that can be used to become a weapon.
