Cardio Kick Boxing

 

This program is designed so that students can learn basic self-defense techniques while gaining cardio vascular endurance. Unlike most "aerobic karate" programs, our cardio class employs heavy use of the punching bag so that students also gain resistance training, learn how it feels to make contact and get life's frustration out in a constructive way. Another unique aspect of our cardio program is the use of the "Short-Stick" self-defense weapon. These techniques can also be applied to the "Kubaton" (a self-defense keychain). Additionally, the class employs focus, breathing, strengthening, stretching and no contact sparring exercises. The class is done to music and lasts only 30 minutes to fit into even the most hectic schedule. Countless fitness magazines have reported that this type of program is terrific for:

By joining the Cardio Karate/Kickboxing Program you are eligible to receive special members only pricing on equipment (such as a punching bag for your home workout), as well as, the ability to attend school clinics and functions. Please remember that this class is only for adults (13 years and older) and each participant must have a pair of boxing gloves to protect their hands and enhance the resistance value of the workout. These gloves are available through the school.
